Thyroid Cancer

Thyroid cancer occurs in the cells of the thyroid, which is responsible for producing hormones that regulate your heart rate, blood pressure, weight and temperature. At the early stages of thyroid cancer, there are typically no symptoms.

As the cancer advances, it may cause the following symptoms:

  • A lump in the neck;
  • Changes to your voice;
  • Difficulty swallowing;
  • Pain in the throat and neck;
  • Swollen lymph nodes.
