Lung cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer deaths in the U.S. It most common in individuals who smoke cigarettes. Lung cancer occurs when abnormal cells grow within the lungs and then form a cancerous mass.
The two main types of lung cancer are non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. Mesothelioma is another kind of lung cancer that is caused by exposure to asbestos.
The symptoms of lung cancer include:
