Leukemia
Leukemia is a cancer that begins in your bone marrow, which is the spongy tissue located inside of your bones. It is what produces red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. Leukemia typically occurs when your bone marrow produces abnormal white blood cells.
The symptoms of leukemia can vary from person to person, but they commonly include:
- Chronic fatigue;
- Persistent fever;
- Frequent infections;
- Unexplained weight loss;
- Swollen lymph nodes;
- An enlarged spleen;
- Frequent nosebleeds;
- Abnormal bruising;
- Night sweats.
